The novel spans 15 chapters that started as a simple idea and became a story about found family, identity, and the terrifying relief of being seen.
For the art, I developed a style I'd been wanting to try for a long time: Daz Studio renders as the base, run through their new cartoon shader, and then a full paint-over pass in Photoshop on my Wacom tablet. The result sits somewhere between a graphic novel and an illustrated book, which felt right for Taylor's story.
