Hello! I'm Emory, a trans woman writing transgender comics and caption stories.
My work usually explores "realistic" scenarios, although occasionally they involve super science or magic.

Yeesh! More than a week between captions. Sorry about that, guys. It has been a killer week. Not literally, obviously—but figuratively is bad enough. Anyway, enough griping. The weekend is here and you know what I've got? A caption!
Thanks so much, Knight! What inspired me was that it seems like everybody is putting a "transgender" character on their shows lately... except they're NEVER played by an actual transgendered person! So I decided to put an actor in the shoes--er, high-heels--he's trying to fill. ;)
Ah! the extream lengths some actors go to for their craft. Nicolas Cage once had two teeth removed, Adrien Brody once gave up everything and lived on the streets. Do you think Jonah will show the same commentment to his craft? I think "she" will. ;)
Brilliant! Great story idea for this cap and awesome picture choice.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this one Emory, nice work!

DeleteI love it! I can see something in her eyes I can take as "I'm gorgeous, I know it - and I am NOT at peace with it!"
ReplyDeleteSo many actors would sell their souls to be a Broadway star - will Jonah sell his sex?
Thanks, Fiona! I think Jonah is way too far gone to have second thoughts now. ;)
DeleteThis one is fantastic. I really enjoyed reading it and the picture is perfect. Great caption.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Zoli. That means a lot coming from you.

ReplyDeleteAnother great cap Emory!
Haha. Thank you, Jay. I think you're right. Jonah is in for the role of a lifetime. ;)
